On Friday 21st April 2017, an important Business Forum occurred in Palazzo Moroni, Municipality of Padua, to introduce real business opportunities for Italian companies in Ukraine, with a collaboration and integration perspective.

The event was organized by the Honorary Consul of Ukraine Marco Toson with the collaboration of Yevhen Perelygin, the Ambassador of Ukraine in Italy, and it saw the participation of around 150 people.

The meeting began in the Sala Paladin with the welcome greetings of Aldo Luciano, the Commissioner of the Padua’s Municipality, the Consul Marco Toson and the Ambassador of Ukraine in Italy Yevhen Perelygin. Then, in the first part of the forum, many entrepreneurs introduced their companies underlining their strong points and aims. The part dedicated to Italy ended with the presentation of some projects as the European Funds of Diego Cancian, the President of Eu-Project Association.

In the second part of the meeting, dedicated to Ukraine, came in succession some important Ukrainian institutions’’ presentations: Gennadiy Chyzhykov – President of Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Pavel Vugelman – Deputy Mayor of Odessa, Volodymyr Shamilov – President of the Chamber of Commerce of Zaporizhya and Yevhen Ryshchuk – Deputy Governor of Khersob region.

The final section of the Business Forum host a speech of the Deputy President of Padua’s Province Fabio Bui, the delivery of a Medical Sector Diploma to two Ukrainian doctors for the collaboration between Padua Ukraine, and finally the important signing of the collaboration agreement between The Chamber of Commerce of Padua and the Chamber of Commerce of Zaporizhya.

At the end of the meeting, after a buffet lunch offered by the Italian association “La Tavola Italiana”, the exhibition of Ukrainian paintings and the demonstration of Ukrainian local dance, occurred some focused B2B meetings at the Chamber of Commerce of Padua. In this context, Italian and Ukrainian entrepreneurs had the possibility to create strong collaborations, not only regarding business, but also between the two Countries.

Other meetings and historical and cultural tours followed during the days.

The event achieved great success, showing an always-stronger collaboration between Italy and Ukraine. The great flow underlined also the increasing interest of the entrepreneurs to expand their views and to open to new business opportunities.
